Late
1800's looking west. White building (with porches) on left
is the old Beardsley Hotel on the corner of Main and Lake Street. Lake
Street passes between the white building on the left & the 2 story
Brick building with sidewalk store fronts. According to the records
of the day, the property on the right side of the picture was to
be always used for residential homes. This was not to be, as the
Winsted Savings Bank now stands on that side. |
