Erected in 1890, in memory of the heroes of the Civil War, this tower is a principle landmark in Winsted. 

Sits atop Crown St. and can be seen from every section of Town.  It cost $7500 and the stone was

quarried from nearby Cold Spring, at Highland Lake.
