Sportsmen Reunion Tenitive
plans could also include a sportsmen reunion night. In 1947
the Gilbert school in Winsted welcomed Roy Kent to its faculty. For the
next five years "coach" was in charge of the boys physical education
department, was advisor for the varsity club and coached the Gilbert football
team.
This
year on June 11th 2004 we invite all of Kent’s "boys"
to once again meet with their coach. As the physical education instructor
Coach Kent recognized the abilities and talents of many boys and encouraged
them to pursue their interest in sports whether it was football, baseball
or basketball. All of the members of these sports teams for the years
1948 thru 1955 are invited and encouraged to attend this evening of reminiscing
with Coach Kent. |
